Dear UTCA members,

UTCA has been proudly sponsoring the Toronto Consulting Practicum (TCP) since summer 2012. Together with our partner, we strive to actively provide the best-in-class management consulting related services to all U of T students.

UTCA is a student run organization that aims to expose U of T students to the management consulting industry. We provide high quality informational events, networking sessions, case competitions, and pro-bono consulting services with the support from the top consulting firms in the world. Now, with TCP’s case interview training component, the two organizations will be able to accommodate senior students who are at the final stage of breaking into the industry.

TCP aims to prepare highly qualified candidates who are ambitious, responsible, and committed to go through rigorous case practices and receive mentorship from consultants at top firms. As of 2013, 40% of TCP candidates have successfully secured a job offer from a leading consultancy. For the upcoming summer program, TCP will focus on 3rd year undergraduate students who are interested in the September full-time recruitment cycle. Here is the detail of the summer session,

Program duration: June 29th – July 28th, 2013

Application deadline: May 17th, 2013

Dear University of Toronto Consulting Association,

I am writing on behalf of Harvard Undergraduate Women in Business [HUWIB] and am excited to introduce the 2013 Intercollegiate Business Convention [IBC] Campus Ambassador Leadership Program! This is an outstanding leadership opportunity for female collegiate students at your distinguished university. We ask that you please forward this e-mail to interested female students and encourage them to apply. Thank you!

Each year, HUWIB hosts the globally-recognized IBC, a day of focused programming for over 1000 driven female leaders from around the world to explore career opportunities, expand their network of peers and mentors, and learn from top business leaders. In years past we have been fortunate enough to attract influential women to speak at IBC, including Donna Karan (fashion designer), Marissa Mayer (Yahoo), and Kate White (Cosmopolitan Magazine).

A core group of Campus Ambassadors promotes IBC. This year, however, we have created the Campus Ambassador Leadership Program [CALP] to promote not only IBC, but also leadership and personal development. The IBC team strongly believes the female students of the University of Toronto Consulting Association would make exceptional Campus Ambassadors and strongly encourages them to apply.

A 2013 Campus Ambassador’s responsibilities will include securing attendees for IBC 2013 on October 5th, engaging and empowering young women at her own school through at least one event, and contributing once every two months to the Campus Ambassador blog, Leading Ladies. In addition, the most engaging blog posts will be published in HUWIB’s Make It Happen magazine, which has featured inspiring women such as Arianna Huffington and Sheryl Sandberg.

Our team is convinced that your students would make an outstanding addition to this program. We encourage them to read the attached CALP Description and HUWIB media kit for more information about HUWIB and CALP’s many benefits. To apply, please complete the short attached application. Applications should be saved as “LastName_FirstName_CALPApplication” and emailed to ibc2013marketing@gmail.com. Applications are due Wednesday, April 10 at 11:59 p.m.

For more information, please visit www.HUWIB.org and do not hesitate to contact me with any questions, comments or concerns. Our team looks forward to reading your students’ applications and we hope to work with University of Toronto students this year!

Sincerely,

Linda Wei
