2) UTCA has extended our network to Mckinsey Business Technology Office (BTO) at Hong Kong. They are interested in accepting resumes of UTCA members with the following qualifications:

- 4th year undergraduate student in Engineering or Computer Science OR last year as a graduate student
- Good record of academic achievements, standardized scores if applicable, especially for Masters students (GMAT, LSAT, GRE etc.)
- Minimum 1 year of work experience in: consulting, technology company, or in a technical role in a non-technology company (ex: software developer at RBC).
- Passion for technology
- Desire to start career in Asia (Hong Kong, China, Korea, Japan, Singapore, India etc.). For any selected country, fluency in local language (ex: Mandarin in China/HK, Cantonese is a plus in HK etc.)

4) Rotman Commerce – EnVision Conference 2012 
Rotman Commerce Students’ Association is proud to present its signature academic event, the 2012 enVision Conference. Event Description:

Registration for the long-awaited 2012 UTCA Business Case Competition is now open! Apply for an opportunity to demonstrate your analytical skills, network with consulting professionals, and win cash prize; and give your second semester a smart start!

This year’s competition is a one-day event on January 14, 2012. If you are one of the 16 successfully admitted teams, you will be given three days to solve a business case selected form the Harvard Business Review and the chance to present your solutions to a panel of judges from Deloitte, Mckinsey, BCG, AT Kearney, and others. Top 3 winners will receive cash prize.

[UPDATE!] UTCA created a form to help individuals who are looking for teammates. Please access here and use it for team forming purposes.

The University of Toronto Consulting Association (UTCA) is excited to announce the first Firm Visit of the year. As a part of our joint partnership with McKinsey & Company our members will have the opportunity to visit their offices located at Charles Street in Downtown Toronto, right by University of Toronto.
 

This is an amazing opportunity for non-graduating students who are interested in pursuing a career in consulting to meet recruiters and ask questions before submitting resumes for internship recruitment.

Only a select number of students will be able to attend the session as spaces are limited. If you are interested in consulting and are considering applying to McKinsey in the upcoming recruitment season, please complete the following instructions:

1) Send a copy of your 1 page resume in .pdf file to cn_recruiting@mckinsey.com, copy (CC) info@utconsulting.ca.  CGPA must be included in your resume. A statement of interest is optional.

University of Toronto Consulting Association (UTCA) is launching its new blog, featuring a series of interviews with consultants from top-notch consulting firms. In our very first entry, a Recruiting Director/Engagement Manager from McKinsey will be answering questions including those YOU want to ask but did not have a chance to do so!
