Amanda hails from Etobicoke, Ontario and is presently in her third year of study at the University of Toronto, double majoring in Chemistry and Political Science. She is the Director of Internal Affairs at the UTCA and oversees scheduling and project management within our organization.
Amanda is currently working in the Stephan Inorganic Chemical Research lab at the University of Toronto, specializing in metal free catalysis, under a Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council grant. She is also the Social Coordinator for Chemistry Students Union and a part of the Relay for Life U of T executive team, organizing charity events benefiting cancer research.
In her spare time, Amanda enjoys visual arts, skiing, and wine tasting. She has a keen interest in the relationship between science and public policy and hopes to one day facilitate partnerships between scientific researchers, governments, and corporations.
